[      Keep the sword close to the body and at waist height.

[      Pivot 90 degrees counter clockwise without moving the feet.

[      Slide the left foot forward and perform a One-Handed Thrust (Tsuki).

[      Slide the right foot back first, disengaging the target.

[      Bring the right foot forward as you raise the sword to block.

[      Block up with the flat of the blade (edge to rear) from a “horse stance”.

[      Take hold of the hilt with both hands as the attack is deflected.

[      Circle the sword down to the left and cut up in a reverse diagonal cut.

[      Drop to left knee and block around the head.

[      Drive upward into another forward reverse diagonal cut left to right.

[      Slide the left foot forward into a fighting horse stance executing a Throat-Level Thrust.

[      Step back with the left foot and cut downward diagonally Right to Left.

[      Maintain awareness (Zanshin), clean the blade (Chiburi), and re-sheath (Noto).

 

Happonme (Eighth Form C)                     Three Enemies In A Semicircle 3 

[      Starting at attention slide the right foot sideways so the feet are shoulder width. Draw the blade and hold it near the right hip.

[      Execute a one handed circular Kesa Cut.

[      Step forward with the right foot and cut diagonally from the right shoulder to the left hip.

[      Step backward with the right foot and cut diagonally from the left shoulder to the right hip.
